  • Battlefield opens print shop on King Street in Stoney Creek
1969
  • Battlefield expands and moves to new location on Arvin Avenue
1974
  • Battlefield moves to Dosco Drive; one of the first with four colour printing capabilities in the area
1988
  • Battlefield moves to present Burlington location and proceeds to build full-service print operation
1991
  • Battlefield integrates pre-press and printing
1993
  • Battlefield goes digital
  • Commissioned one of Canada’s first digital presses
1994
  • Battlefield commissions first Kodak Approval System
  • Press calibrated colour proofs produced digitally on the client’s choice of stock
  • Battlefield expands in-house bindery, and is continually expanding to provide better service
1995
  • Battlefield expands by 40%
  • A major building expansion was undertaken to provide space for new presses and additional bindery equipment
1996
  • Battlefield buys 3 new presses
  • One 2 colour 29″, a 6 colour 29″, and an 8 colour 40″ perfector
  • These are all Heidelberg presses which are 40% faster with less make-ready time
  • The 8 colour is the flagship of the fleet, running 4 colours, both sides at 12,000 sheets per hour
1997
  • Battlefield installs a new 40″ CD press
  • The new 6 colour, 40″ Heidelberg CD press is not only fast (15,000 sheets per hour), but it also has in-line aqueous and is capable of running stock up to 40 point and plastics (including static cling) with great results
  • Battlefield is the first to use Delta Workflow technology, which is capable of handling large volumes while making life simpler for customers
2000
  • Heidelberg Trendsetter 3244 40″ with Creo Spectrum proofing option
2001
  • 6 colour Heidelberg CD UV 40″ Press allows 15,000 sheets per hour
  • It has inline aqueous coating plus full UV capabilities
  • For printing on paper, plastics, vinyls, and card stock up to 40 point
  • Both spot and overall UV coatings and aqueous
2003
  • 40″ in-house Hi-Speed Die Cutting System commissioned
2004
  • Second Heidelberg Platesetter installed
  • Installed in our pre-press the Heidelberg Prinect High Speed PDF data workflow technology
2005
  • Installed 12 colour Heidelberg Speedmaster SM102-12P with Cut Star technology
2006
  • Installed Heidelberg Suprasetter, an auto-loading platesetter
2007
  • Battlefield Graphics gets certified as a FSC ® (Forest Stewarship Council ®) printer
2008
  • Installed 5 colour Heidelberg Speedmaster SM52 with inline aqueous coating
  • Battlefield Graphics becomes a certified Metal FX printer
